All I know is that PNGs just look nicer, which account for their large file size. As for loading smoothly, that could be it (though PNGs usually load slightly longer). Also might depend on how your layout was coded, maybe?
In any case, I usually save everything I can in PNGs (save for my wallpapers, MT avatars, and the background image of layouts), and I've never experienced any jerkiness with any of my graphics.

I originally majored in vocal performance in college. I miss playing piano! I've started thinking about buying an acoustic guitar at a pawn shop and teaching myself. My senior year of HS I had to compose a piece for my music theory class and it was lame. I wrote it for voice, flute and piano since if I wrote three parts it only had to be 16 bars. ~_~'

For voting, I think we'll need to come up with an alternate method than just a group announcement or we might get duplicate votes. I'm thinking that dev and I should create ONE forum thread that has all of the entries, and we'll announce the voting with a link to the mutual thread. That way all of the voting can be in one spot.

Sounds good to me. So one of us make the Official Voting thread (but whom...) and then we each make seperate group announcements to let everyone know where to go, yes?

Basically, everyone in Tulsa will be coming into my bank to cash a paycheck or get a money order so I'll probably be dead when I finally leave. Oh, my bank is open until 8pm so I'll get to be there for the lunch rush and the after work rush and the race in before we close to cash a check rush... There will be so many old people... Anyway, the point of that pitiful rant is that I think you should post the thread in the forum and send me the link so I can do an announcement. OR I can do it Thursday night and send you the link. I was thinking May 1st so that last minute entries still get included.
